We recently held our annual Horbury Pageant Players Race Night at Horbury Working Members Club. A number of races were held on the night with people even having the chance to own their very own horse and jockey. Thank you to everybody who supported, attended and participated in the event. A brilliant night was had by all cheering on their chosen horses. Well done to all of the lucky winners!

The cast of Cinderella 2024 were out and about in Horbury this weekend. In preparation for treading the boards during February half term, Cinderella, Gertrude and Grizelda (her ugly sisters), Prince Charming, Buttons, Baron Hardup and his equerry Chambers could be seen visiting Hickory’s Smokehouse, the Co-Op on the High Street and various other locations around the town. Did you spot them?

We were back with our festive fun recently while promoting our upcoming pantomime Cinderella. We spent time at the Horbury Christmas Lights Event speaking to the wonderful people of Horbury about our show. It was great to speak to many people who were also past members of Horbury Pageant Players from across the years. We love to hear stories from time gone by with HPP!

We then attended the Ossett Lights Switch On with our fabulous hoopla stall. It may have been cold but we didn’t let that stop us from having plenty of fun seeing how many of you could hoop it to scoop it. Thank you to everybody who came and supported the stall and contributed to our fundraising effort. We simply couldn’t continue entertaining the local community without your support.

We were honoured to be invited to perform a Halloween Flashmob at Hickory’s Smokehouse Horbury. Our fabulous team surprised the customers during their Sunday afternoon with a ghoulish group performance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. We had some amazing feedback and it’s safe to say that the customers and staff loved it. A huge thank you to everybody for their support and to Hickory’s for hosting us. Who knows where we might pop up next!!!

We recently had the pleasure of attending Horbury Heritage Day 2023. We were invited to spend the morning sharing our history with the Horbury community. It was fantastic to speak to lots of different people including those who are past members of Horbury Pageant Players or who remembered our shows from the past. We loved sharing our memories and stories with you. A huge thank you to Jo Sykes for putting our wonderful display together showing HPP through the years.
